Viking Enviroclad TPO membrane roofing installation on leaf-shaped roof at Northbridge Day Pavilion, Auckland

Watts & Hughes Construction / Klein Limited / Viking Enviroclad TPO Membrane Roofing

Northbridge Day Pavilion in Auckland presented MPM Waterproofing Group with one of their more technically demanding roofing challenges. Designed by Klein Limited and constructed by Watts & Hughes Construction, the pavilion features a distinctive leaf-shaped roof that required a specialist approach to waterproofing.

Rather than laying standard long runs of TPO membrane, the curved roofing profile demanded many small, precise cuts to follow the complex curved edging of the roof across the full 300m² installation. The low-sloping profile of the roof made Viking Enviroclad TPO the ideal system choice, as it is specifically designed to protect low-slope rooftops while supporting the overall aesthetic of the architectural design. The project was completed in June 2021.
