Durable Liquid Membrane Waterproofing for Complex Surfaces
Flexible, seamless protection for complex shapes, substrates, and detailing.
Precision-applied protection for challenging areas
Liquid-applied membranes offer unmatched versatility for areas requiring seamless, flexible coverage. At MPM Waterproofing, we specialise in applying liquid systems that create a fully bonded waterproof layer across irregular surfaces, junctions, and penetrations throughout Auckland and Northland.
Ideal for both new builds and re-waterproofing projects, these cold-applied membranes are fast-curing, UV-stable, and suitable for high-traffic or hard-to-access areas. Our team ensures expert surface preparation and product compatibility, backed by QA documentation and warranty support.
Whether waterproofing a balcony, sealing facade transitions, or restoring an ageing membrane, our systems are selected and applied with long-term performance in mind.
Applications
Detailed junctions and penetrations
Ideal around pipes, balustrade posts, vents, and other penetrations that require full coverage.
Gutters, parapets, and internal corners
Excellent for areas with changes in direction, ensuring continuity across transitions.
Balconies and decks
Suitable as a standalone waterproofing solution or overcoating existing membranes.
Facade and junction sealing
Integrates into cladding or facade systems as part of a full weatherproofing strategy.
Plant rooms and service areas
Durable under equipment, foot traffic, and regular maintenance access.
Remedial waterproofing
Used to extend the life of older membranes or replace failing waterproofing.
Our Process
-
We review the substrate condition, falls, detailing complexity, and UV and traffic exposure at your Auckland site to plan the correct liquid membrane approach before work begins.
-
We select a liquid membrane system compatible with the substrate, site conditions, and performance requirements. A detailed quote and scope of work will be provided before any work begins.
-
Surfaces are cleaned, repaired where needed, and primed to ensure strong adhesion, with all reinforcing fabric installed at critical junctions, outlets, and penetrations.
-
The membrane is applied in multiple coats using system-approved methods, with correct film thickness and curing intervals maintained throughout the application.
-
A final inspection is completed under MPM's QA framework. We provide site photos, PS3 producer statements, and warranty documentation on completion.
Liquid Membrane Application
Case Studies
-

Waller Projects, Ponsonby
An existing deck in Ponsonby, Auckland, was refurbished and waterproofed using the Equus Chevaline Dexx liquid membrane system. The application restored the deck surface while providing durable, long-term protection against moisture and weather exposure.
-

Bruce Edwards, Whangaparaoa
The Equus Chevaline Dexx liquid membrane system was installed on this new residential roof terrace in Whangaparaoa, Auckland. The trafficable membrane provides a hard-wearing waterproof surface designed for outdoor living areas and exposed coastal conditions.
