Davis House, Orakei
Faulkner Construction / Mercer and Mercer Architects / Allco Casali Dermabit Membrane Roofing / Allco Volclay Voltex & Swelltite
Davis House in Orakei is a striking residential new build designed by Mercer and Mercer Architects and constructed by Faulkner Construction. Completed in 2017, the home draws on Brutalist architecture and the scale of industrial spaces — raw concrete block construction, exposed steel framing, double-height living volumes, and a dramatic cantilevered roof. The project was recognised with the NZIA Auckland Branch Award 2017.
MPM Waterproofing Group installed Allco Casali Dermabit membrane roofing and Allco Volclay Voltex and Swelltite below ground tanking systems, providing comprehensive waterproofing protection across both the roof and substructure of this high-specification residence. The systems were selected to deliver long term moisture protection suited to the complexity and quality of the build.
