MPM Waterproofing completed membrane roofing and below-ground tanking works at the ASB North Wharf development in Auckland's Wynyard Quarter, a landmark commercial project designed by Bligh Voller Nield Architecture and Jasmax and built by Fletchers Construction. The scope covered the roof expanses of Buildings 22 and 23, including roof gutters, external balconies, landscaped areas, external plant areas, and beneath timber decking.
More than 3,500m2 of Allco Casali Dermabit Extra bitumen membrane was installed across the project. The membrane was specified in part because the roof and deck rainwater is collected and recycled on site, requiring a product approved for water collection and compliant with the highest European standards for membrane technology. Below-ground tanking was completed to all lift pits on site using Allco Volclay Voltex SWR membrane, with one pit reaching up to 6m deep and permanently below tidal level.

The ASB North Wharf project remains one of Auckland's most technically demanding waterfront waterproofing projects, combining large-scale membrane roofing with deep below-ground tanking in permanently tidal conditions.
