ASPEC Construction / Architectus / Allco Volclay Full Encapsulation Tanking System
Saint Kentigern College, located at 130 Pakuranga Road in Pakuranga, features a teaching block designed by Architectus and built by ASPEC Construction. Completed in March 2020, the two-level facility includes 12 classrooms along with collaborative learning areas, staff spaces, and support rooms.
MPM Waterproofing Group was appointed as Allco’s approved applicator to install a Volclay encapsulated tanking system across the project. The scope covered beams and under slab areas on both levels using Volclay Voltex, Volclay RX, and Bentoseal, along with fully encapsulated entry points and retaining walls. This system was specified to ensure reliable waterproofing performance across all below-ground elements of the building.
The works included approximately 1,000m² of Voltex and 500m² of Swelltite. Delivery required close coordination between MPM Waterproofing Group, ASPEC Construction, and Allco’s technical team to align sequencing and installation. The project was acknowledged by Allco for the standard of workmanship on site and the strong communication maintained throughout construction.
