This striking linear residence on Ayr Street, Auckland was designed by Ignite Architects and constructed by SNL Construction, featuring bold contemporary architecture with sweeping views out to Mt Hobson. MPM Waterproofing Group worked on this project from May 2020 through to completion in May 2021, delivering a comprehensive 1,045m² waterproofing solution across multiple systems.
Due to the complexity of the home's design, a full range of waterproofing products was required across different areas of the structure. Allco Voltex membrane was installed under the concrete slab, providing self-sealing protection against the effects of ground movement and shrinkage. Allco Swelltite was applied to the concrete walls, expanding on contact with water to prevent ingress through any cracks in the structure. Nuralite 3PM and 3PT membrane systems were installed across roofing areas, while Proclima Adhero Extasana wrap was used around the building envelope to keep the RAB board protected during construction. Sika Blackseal Elastic was also applied as part of the comprehensive waterproofing solution.
